When brands realize they have the power to speak up for a better tomorrow, to inspire change and make an impact, then we know we are on the right track.
Nike understands it’s world-bettering power and encourages “people to take the fairness and respect they see in sport and translate them off the field” in this amazing campaign for equality.
In the true spirit of Black History Month the ad celebrates the achievements of some of our favorite black athletes, and even here it doesn’t discriminate but goes a step further to promote diversity, inclusion and equality among all colors, beliefs and backgrounds. It features stars like LeBron James, Serena Williams, Kevin Durant, Megan Rapinoe, Dalilah Muhammad, Gabby Douglas and Victor Cruz. Actor Michael B. Jordan provides the ad’s voiceover, and the soundtrack is a new recording of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Alicia Keys.
“We’ve always been committed to using the power of sport to advance equality — on the field and in life. Our newest partners in PeacePlayers and MENTOR put this belief into action in meaningful and inspiring ways that make a real difference.” Mark Parker, Chairman, President and CEO of NIKE, Inc.

The 90 sek. video spot is part of a bigger initiative “centered on using Nike’s voice and the power of sport to inspire people to take action in their communities”. Nike is leading by example and have just announced two partnerships with community organizations PeacePlayers International and MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership. Additionally, it’s been revealed that Nike will donate $5 mio. to numerous organizations that advance equality in communities.
