In December 2016 Helsinki Police department launched a two week outdoor campaign to increase awareness of domestic violence and encourage people to report if they witnessed any acts of violence. The campaign was triggered by calls to 112 (equal to 911 in the US), and in areas where an emergency call had been made, the posters would show for 48 hours. Playing with the day vs. night effect, what in daylight looked like a normal interior design ad suddenly became a crime scene poster in the night time.
Creative, simple and powerful.
Text in the poster: “There has been reported an act of domestic violence from this area within last 48hours. If you experience, see or suspect domestic violence. Call 112.”
