You can’t speak up when you don’t have a voice

in

On International Anti-Slavery Day, 18 October, U itch I scratch released a powerful video giving a voice to the voiceless victims of human trafficking. As one of the fastest growing organised crimes in the world, these vulnerable women are in more need than ever of someone speaking on their behalf to draw attention to the issue.

The directors trawled through dodgy online forums where prostitutes are reviewed as products bought on Amazon in true Trustpilot-style. They then turned the reviews into lines in the film with women speaking in men’s voices to communicate how these sex trafficked women have no voice of their own.

The aim of the film was to raise awareness of sex trafficking and support the NGOs and NFPs fighting to eradicate slavery. All work on the film and all actors involved worked pro bono.
